KIA secured three stars for its punctuality

Bengaluru: Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) recieved three star rating for its punctuality and service. The rating was provided by OAG, a leading global provider of flight information.

The OAG released its On-time Performance (OTP) Star Rating, which accredits the top airlines and airports of the world for superior punctuality in performance.

The results were are based on 12 months of rolling data  between June 2017 and May 2018. The KIA that had 2,04,513 operations recorded an OTP of 79.6%. KIA, which has over 600 aircraft movements every day, with over 90,000 passengers is the third busiest airport in India and the busiest in South India.

However, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad and the Chennai airport fared slightly better than KIA with regard to OTP.
