DC M Lokesh visits Agumbe Ghat section

Shivamogga: Deputy Commissioner M Lokesh, visited the Agumbe Ghat which suffered landslide and inspected the area here.

He also inspected the whole stretch of Agumbe Ghat and the affected part and also instructed the officials to undertake safety measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The deputy commissioner instructed the officials to undertake 24-hour monitoring at the spot and report the progress of the work being carried out every day.

Highway officials are asked to send a detailed report and also mention places which are likely to suffer a landslide and warn vehicles about the possible risk. 

He also sought a report from the highway officials to identify places that are likely to suffer a landslide and to affix signs to warn the vehicles about the risk.
