Kasaragod: A head on collision between a lorry and a car at Chowki Kallangai on the National Highway has claimed the life of the car driver on Sunday, July 1st. The deceased has been identified as Sajeer (27), a resident of Mogral Puttur Kunnil.

Sajeer was on his way to Kasaragod to make few purchases in the backdrop of his child’s naming ceremony which was scheduled to be held in the afternoon of the same day, when the collision occurred.

The force of the collision was so violent that the car was badly mangled and the lorry landed in a roadside ditch after crashing into the car. The locals and the police had to literally struggle to drag Sajeer who was stuck inside the mangled car. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he died along the way.
