Police arrest cattle thief

Mangaluru: Police arrested an illegal cattle trafficking racket here on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Mustafa (20), resident of Uddabettu Mallur. 

Based on a tip off, Mangaluru rural station police raided a place here last year. When the suspects spotted police they fled from the spot and were missing. Since then the accused have been absconding. The present arrest may help to trace other accused persons.

Two cases of cattle theft were registered against Mohammed Mustafa in Mangaluru rural police station.

The arrest was made in the leadership of ACP south under guidance from DCP law and order Hanumantharaya and DCP traffic Uma Prashanth on orders from police commissioner T R Suresh.
