Bengaluru: Congress party has been asserting state for the post of the council chairman instead of D H Shankaramurthy who as of late resigned. Leaders of JD(S), who had persuaded veteran leader, Basavaraj Horatti, to drop the interest for ministerial position and consent to acknowledge the post of the council chairman, are in a fix now.
In spite of the fact that he has as of now been given the post of pro-tem chairman, considering his position, getting chose as chairman, needs the help of Congress MLCs as that party has more individuals in the council.
Siddaramaiah, who has been unshakable on giving this seat to his close supporter, S R Patil, had additionally put his claim for the position of council chairman to his party at the meeting of the coordination committee, as it has the most noteworthy individuals in the upper house. Kumaraswamy reacted by promising to examine the issue with his father and party supremo, H D Deve Gowda.
A meeting of leaders of both the party is required to be held to deal with the issue. JD(S) would now be able to likely plan to sack the post of the chief whip by giving up the post of the council chairman to the Congress. In any case, Horatti may not be pleasing to acknowledge any post other than that of the minister of council chairman. If that the post of the executive slips out of his hands, the party may fill the main vacant post of minister accessible to it by lifting him as a minister.
