Bantwal: A retaining wall near Thumbay vented dam has collapsed partially at around 4 am on Saturday exposing the pump house of the dam in danger. Also, following the heavy rains in the region since the past couple of days, Netravathi River is flowing above danger mark.
The water at the dam is at 7 feet and the inflow into the AMR dam at Shambhur and Thumbay vented dam has increased. Save two, all the sluice gates of the dam have been opened.
