Bus-lorry collision at Kumta kills 3, injures 15

Bhatkal: Three persons died on the spot after a KSRTC bus collided with a lorry on NH 66 near Hotel Panduranga in Kumta on Saturday, July 7th.

The deceased have been identified as Shashikala Harikanta (60) and Venkatesh Ganiga (45) and an unidentified person. The accident also injured 15 passengers in the bus. The injured have been taken to the hospital.

The KSRTC Kumta -Gokarna bus collided head-on with a truck carrying huge iron bars. The impact of the collision was such that the right portion of the bus was completely mangled.
