SIT returns to Belagavi for further investigation

Belagavi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday, July 6, took youths from Halaga Bastwad towns of Belagavi for questioning regarding the murder of writer Gowri Lankesh.
Sources affirmed that the SIT had come back to Belagavi to explore whether some other youths helped Parashuram Waghmore, a key accused for the situation, for murdering Lankesh.
The SIT had conveyed Vaghmore to Belagavi around 20 days prior and spent an entire day in Khanapur and Belagavi to discover the spots where he was prepared to utilize the gun.
It is assembled that the SIT is currently examining to discover the personality of the individual from Bastwad town who provided the SIM card to Waghmore. The group likewise assembled data about youths who protected Waghmore when he was undergoing weapon training in Belagavi, affirmed sources.
It has become exposed that the denounced youth fled from the town not long after the SIT began the investigation into the contribution of Waghmore in the murder. The SIT is on a look out for the youth who is absconding.
