Shiradi Ghat road to open before July 16

Bengaluru: Urban development and housing minister, U T Khader, expressed that Shiradi ghat stretch of national highway 75 which is shut for movement for second phase of development will reopen before July 16.
Khader examined the issue with PWD minister, H D Revanna, in Vidhana Soudha here on Monday within the sight of authorities of transport and PWD divisions. “Works embraced at Shiradi Ghat are nearing completion. We have officially looked for advantageous date for support by union minister for highway, Nitin Gadkari, in the inaugural program,” he elucidated.
He said that former union minister for highway, Oscar Fernandes, and additionally MP and MLA from the area will participate in the inaugural ceremony. He included that Oscar Fernandes is being welcomed as he, as the then minister for highway , had discharged Rs 165 crore for Shiradi Ghat highway repairs.
Khader additionally expressed that a meeting of legislators from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi regions to talk about repairs and development of roads damaged because of heavy rainfall would be held here on Tuesday July 10. The meeting will be held at Vidhana Soudha.
