BA Mohideen’s last rites held at Bajpe

Mangaluru: BA Mohideen, former higher education minister’s last rites was held at Bajpe Eidgah Juma masjid with full state honours here on Tuesday.

BA Mohideen passed away on Tuesday morning at Bengaluru’s MS Ramaiah hospital. His body was kept for paying homage at his Bengaluru residence after which, his mortal remains was brought to Bajpe here in an ambulance at around 5pm.

Thousands of people including political leaders – Assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar, Urban Development Minister UT Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Ivan D’souza, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Sentil, relatives and locals visited Bajpe to pay their last respect. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah and chief minister HD Kumaraswamy paid their homages to the politician at his Bengaluru residence.
