Hemavati Dam Division issues notice

Hassan: The officers of Hemavati Dam Division have issued a notice to individuals in the downstream of the dam to move to more secure place expressing that the peak gates of Hemavati reservoir at Gorur could be opened at any time. 

In an official statement issued here on Wednesday, the Superintendent Engineer of Hemavati Project Circle said the water level had crossed 2,910 ft. The maximum level of the reservoir is 2,922 ft. 

The inflow over the most recent 24 hours before 6 a.m. on Wednesday was 20,535 cusecs. The inflow has been on the ascent because of substantial rains in the catchment zone.
