Husband mercilessly attacks corporator wife

Bengaluru: A corporator representing Thanisandra war, Mamatha, was assaulted mercilessly by her husband. The incident came to light in a delay.

Mamatha, who endured grievous injuries, is admitted to a private hospital. Her husband, Venkatesh, the accused is absconding after the incident. 

On July 8, Venkatesh was mercilessly beating his son, Vaishak,as a punishment for going out to play. Mamatha intervened to protect her child from his ruthless beatings. It is said this arouse a fight between the couple. Venkatesh, who was enraged, assaulted his wife with an iron rod, and furthermore kicked at her stomach. After Mamatha tumbled to the ground, he mercilessly assaulted her. In this regard, Mamatha has filed in Kothanur police station. Venkatesh, who came to realize that he would be behind the bars, escaped. The police are currently looking for him. 

Mamatha and Venkatesh were frequently fighting for the past three years. In a complaint recorded in 2017 against Venkatesh, Mamatha had said that he had assaulted her many times. 

Venkatesh, a former rowdy sheeter has complaints filed against him in various police station including murder, burglary and dacoity cases.
