Youth killed by a leopard

Ballari: A 23-year-old youth, Shankar Naik, was killed by a leopard in Sushil Nagar in Sandur taluk on Wednesday. 

As indicated by sources, Shankar was gazing cattle when he was attacked by the leopard. He was discovered dead with bleeding wounds around the neck. 

In 2015 October and November, three people were killed by a leopard in Siddapur and Sushil Nagar of the taluk. Mehabood sab was killed on October 12 and Prakash Naik was killed on October 25. On November 12, Bharamalingappa was killed. 

Following the attack, Forest office had made many efforts to trap down these wild animals but were unsuccessful. Later, a shoot-at-site arrange was given and one male leopard was murdered in fag end of October 2015.
