Sullia:  Since the last three, many villages in the taluk have remained in darkness after power failure which occurred earlier.  There is no power supply at some places in the city and at some other places the power supply seems to be in the mood of playing hide-and-seek.

With the lack of powers supply since three days at Subrahmanya, Guttigaru, Sullia city, Bellare limits and Kundadaka, there is also problem in drinking water connection. Also it is not possible to make a call in case of an emergency.

Due to the rain and wind, more than 45 electric poles have been uprooted and their repositioning has reached final stages. It will be completed soon, informed Mescom official.

During summer, there is scarcity of electricity and during the monsoon there is complete lack of it. Altogether, the people of Sullia are compelled to exist in darkness. The 110 k.v. sub-station has not yet been installed and work on installing the 33 k.v. electricity has been half finished.
