Mangaluru: Since the Shiroor Seer Laxmivara Theertha had not appointed a successor to the Shiroor Mutt, Sode Mutt seer, Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji said that a successor will be appointed soon.

Sode mutt is dwandha mutt of Shiroor – which means the other mutt chief will take responsibilities in case of emergencies.

After the last rites of Shiroor seer, Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji said that a successor will be appointed soon.

The Shiroor Mutt is under police custody after which we will take care of the Mutt. I will be taking advice from other chief seers to appoint a successor for Shirror, he added.
