SIT arrests 2 from Hubballi, total arrests rise to 10 in Gauri Lankesh case

Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) have captured two more suspects from Hubballi on July 22 in connection with the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh. With this, the total number of people arrested in the case has increased to 10.
SIT arrested Ganesh Viskin and Amit Ramachandra Baddi, the two residents of Banashankari Temple Road in Hubballi. They were presented before the third AMC on July 23.
As indicated by reports, the SIT has blamed the accused for ownership of weapons and providing these illegal weapons to the murderers of journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru. The sleuths additionally confiscated weapons from the accused amid the capture, asserted sources.
The most recent arrested were made just three days after eighth charged, Mohan Nayak was captured from Sullia. Nayak is accused for arranging a house for Parashuram Waghmore, who allegedly killed Lankesh.
