Bnegaluru: FaujiKids, an association of Army children, composed a letter to Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday, inquiring as to why the National Military Memorial has has remained incomplete 8 years after the government guaranteed it would come up.

The letter was signed by 450 poeple, including Priya Chetty-Rajagopal and Prasad Bidapa, and they gave over duplicates of the letter to Deputy CM Dr G Parameshwara and Governor Vajubhai Vala on Kargil Vijay Divas, which denotes the day India took command of the outposts captured by Pakistan in 1999 during the Kargil War.

In their letter, they say the legend stone, or the Veeragallu, is completely carved with the names of more than 22,000 soldiers. It should be moved 45 kms to the war memorial, but it hasn’t been done for eight years.
