Former Kerala Minister Cherkala Abdulla dies

Kasargod: Indian Muslim League leader and former Kerala minister Cherkala Abdulla passed away at his residence near here today.
His family confirmed that Abdulla was unwell for a while, and passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest early morning today.
He got into politics as a student leader. He was a four-time legislator from Manjeswaram constituency from 1987.
He was Minister for Local Self Government in the A.K. Antony cabinet from 2001-04.
The leader is survived by his wife Ayisha Cherkala, two sons and two daughters.
