Two held for cattle trafficking

Bantwal: A Bajrang Dal activist is held for illegally transporting cattle in inhumane way here at Kadambu on near here Thursday.
However, the Bajrang Dal denied facts saying the accused is not associated with the association.
The accused, Shashikumar (48) from Vittal, is allegedly a Bajrang Dal activist and is arrested for cattle trafficking in an inhumane way. Another man who was arrested is Abdul Haris(21), a resident of Mannagadde Kathathila.
Acting on credible information, Vittal Police Station Deputy Inspector Nagaraj H.E. and staff Abhijit, Lokesh, Ramesh, Rakshath and driver Raghuram intercepted the tempo ferrying the cattle at Kadambu on Thursday night.
Speaking to NewsKarnataka, Murali Krishna Hasanthadka Bajrang Dal Pranth Sahasanchalak (co-convenor) said that any person sporting a saffron shawl cannot be affiliated with the party. He flatly denied reports that suggested Shashikumar as a Bajrang Dal Activist.
