Mysuru: Darshan starrer sandalwood movie “Wodeyar” to have hit trouble with the members from the Kannada Kranthidal questioning the title of the movie.
Demanding that the makers change the title of the movie, with the Challenging Star as the lead performing artist, the Kannada Kranthidal filed a case in K R Police Station. Wodeyar is being produced by MLA member and film producer Sandesh Nagaraj.
Addressing media people, the members from the organisation expressed that “Wodeyar” is a name which belongs to the kings of Mysuru. “We have huge respect for the Mysuru king. We won’t permit this title for the film which projects rowdyism and rumours. Despite the fact that we asked for the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to not permit the film with this title, the motion picture title has not been changed. It has gone to our notice that the shooting of the film will be launched in Mysuru on August 16. Thus we ask for the film team to change the title.”
