BBMP to audit buildings in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will be conducting a structural audit of buildings in the Bengaluru city.
BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad said that, “The structural audit of BBMP and other government buildings in the city will be done by the BBMP to know the status of old buildings in the city.”
Prasad said that, “There are ISI guidelines on which the audit can be conducted. Once in five years an audit should be conducted on the buildings,”
“We will soon issue an order to conduct the structural audit of all old buildings,” he said.
