Mangalore University professor to get state award

Mangaluru: Karunakara Naregundi, professor and coordinator, Centre for Advanced Research in Environmental Radioactivity, Mangalore University has been chosen by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, for the Sir C V Raman Young Scientist State Award for 2017.

The award instituted by the state government will be presented by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy at a function at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru on August 6th.

Scientist C.N.R. Rao has been selected on the consideration of his contribution in the fields of physical sciences and mathematics and he will present on the occasion.
