4 killed in road accident in Nepal

Kathmandu: Four persons were killed and 17 others injured when a passenger bus collided with a truck in Nepal’s Chitwan district, police said.

The incident happened yesterday night at Ratnanagar Municipality area in the district, they said.

The bus was heading towards Kakarbhitta from Kathmandu when it collided with the truck along the East-West Highway at Bhanuchok, police said, adding that the truck driver, his assistant and two passengers of the bus were killed in the mishap which was caused due to high-speed driving.

The injured passengers are undergoing treatment at College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital and Chitawan Medical College situated in Chitawan district, they said.
