Gauri Lankesh murder: Two right-wing activists taken into custody in Udupi

Udupi: Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials have taken into custody two persons in connection with the sensational Gauri Lankesh murder case here, on Thursday August 9th. .

The persons taken into custody were identified as Sandesh Shetty Padebettu(28) and Yuvaraj Kanchinadka(30) who are said to be members of Hindu Jagarana Vedike.

SIT sleuths arrived in Udupi based on credible information and took the duo into custody from their respective houses with the support of local police. The duo have been taken to Bengaluru for interrogation.

There is suspicion that Sandesh and Yuvaraj were in contact with accused who are already in custody.
