Bangladeshi infiltrator caught by BSF in Meghalaya

Shillong: A Bangladeshi was caught when he illegally entered the country crossing over the unfenced border in South Garo Hills district in Meghalaya, a BSF spokesperson said today.
Md Jaharul Islam, who is an active member of the Jamat-e-Islami Foundation in Bangladesh, was caught on August eight, he told PTI.
Islam entered India with a motive to visit the north eastern states, he said.
South Garo Hills district SP A T Sangma said Islam was produced in a local court at Baghmara and he was remanded to police custody for 14 days.
