Dr BR Shetty to donate Rs. 2 crore to Kerala flood victims

Abu Dhabi/Udupi: Chairman of NMC group and UAE Exchange, Dr. B R Shetty has announced a donation of Rs. 2 crore to assist in the relief efforts in Kerala State that has been ravaged by floods. So far, the floods have claimed 29 lives and rendered 54,000 people homeless.
Dr Shetty will make the donation to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
“The Kerala community is very close to my own and I am saddened by their plight. I am committed to help the victims of this calamity,” said Dr. Shetty and added that “hundreds of staff” from the UAE Exchange offices across Kerala had come forward for the rescue and rehabilitation operations in the state.
