Moodbidri: A man, who went missing from a store in Moodbidri, was found dead near Maravoor here on Friday August 17th. The deceased has been identified as Sudarshan Jain (28) and is supposedly been murdered by his younger brother.

On August 11th, after finishing work. Sudarshan had left his shop along with his brother Sudhir Jain in his bike. It is understood that as the duo reached near his house in Hosabettu, three persons included Sudhir’s friend Sandeep were waiting in a car. It is suspected that they might have abducted Sudarshan, murdered and dumped the body at Phalguni River.

Sudarshan’s mortal remains were found by his mother on Friday and the corpse bore injury marks on the neck and chest area.

Motive

The siblings’ mother had sold 2.7 acres of land recently for Rs 27 lakh and had received Rs 6 lakh in advance. Sudhir had received Rs 3 lakh but he still harassed Sudarshan to give him even his own share of the money, despite the fact the Sudarshan’s electronics shop in Siddakatte was under loss.

Hence it is suspected that Sudhir might have murdered his elder brother with assistance from his friends. The case is being investigated by Moodbidri police.
