Bengaluru: Minister Priyank Kharge has said that his department will be releasing a total sum of Rs 25 crore towards relief measures for Kodagu.

The minister has directed the social welfare department officials to look through Kodagu district once the rain subsides and identify vulnerable areas which needs help and development.

“We have seen repeatedly that such natural calamities take their toll on the most vulnerable and at-risk people and that rehabilitation is delayed due to slow assessments of damage and financial planning for the same. The Department will survey and take immediate action as soon as the rain subside,’’ he said
