ULB Polls: BJP wins Puttur, spilt verdict in Ullal, Bantwal

Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept the Puttur City Municipal Council by securing 25 seats out of 31 seats. The Congress has secured 5 seats and a single seat has been won by the SDPI. The counting process for the Urban Local Body(ULB) elections began on Monday, September 3rd.
It is a split verdict at Ullal City Municipal Council election result as no political party gained majority to form the administration. The Congress has secured 13 seats out of 31 seats. The BJP has managed to secure 6 seats, SDPT also secured 6 seats, JD(S) won 4 seats while 2 seats went to Independent candidates. Congress has secured the highest seats in Ullal Municipal Council, but it has no majority to form the administration.
Bantwal Town Municipal Elections results too have given a split verdit with no majority to form the rule in Town Municipal Council. Congress has secured 12 seats, BJP has secured 11 seats and the SDPI have managed to secure 4 seats of the 27 seats in Bantwal Town Municipal.
