Mangaluru: Ugly scenes were witnessed at the district court complex premises, on Tuesday September 4 when three members of Target group ended up getting into a brawl with a court visitor here.
The incident took place when Faraz, Nawaz and Sohail – members of Ullal-based Target group, who are presently in judicial custody had been brought to the court for a case trial. The assaulted, Ilyas also happened to be visiting the court at the same time in connection to a case. It is gathered that the Target group members, held a grudge against Ilyas for some time now and beat him up on spotting him there.
The Bunder police have filed a complaint in this regards.
It is learnt that Ilyas had been assaulted by few members of the Target group previously too when he was spending jail time in connection to a four-year-old case. Post this assault, Ilyas had lodged a complaint against Target group members at Barke police station. This led to animosity towards Ilyas.
