3 killed in firing over property matter

Shahjahanpur (UP): Two groups opened fire at each other following an altercation over a property matter, leaving three persons dead, police said Friday.

Police said the firing took place near the Kallu Miyan’s Dargah in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh Thursday night.

After the exchange of fire stopped, four people were seen bleeding profusely.Two brothers identified as Israr (30) and Imran (35) died on the spot while another person Musheer (32) died later, SP (City) Dinesh Tripathy said.

Another youth Sonu was critically injured and rushed to a local medical facility. Superintendent of Police S Chenappa said additional police force has been deployed and the matter was being investigated.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem and a case registered.
