Youth impregnates his guardian’s teen daughter, booked under POSCO

Mangaluru: A 28-year-old youth has been booked under the POSCO Act for allegedly raping and impregnating a minor girl on the basis of a complaint filed by the victims’ mother.

The victim, aged 13, happens to be the daughter of the accused Gopalakrishna’s guardians.

The complainant alleged that after the death of Gopalakrishna’s parents, in his childhood, she and her husband had taken care of him and that he had been staying with them at their Sampaje residence. She further alleged that Gopalkrishna had forced her daughter into a sexual relationship with him in the last two months and he used to carry out the act while the rest of the family members were asleep.

The issue came to light when the family members, after noticing behavioural changes in the girl took her to the hospital.

Gopalakrishna is yet to be arrested.
