Chikkamagaluru: In a bizzare incident, a man walked into a police station, carrying the severed head of his wife in a bag in one hand and a bloodied machete in another.

The accused has been identified as Satish (35) from here.

It has been reported that, Satish walked into Ajjampura police station around 6 pm carrying the severed head for over 20 km on his two-wheeler, told the police that he killed his wife, Roopa, around 4.30 pm as he caught her with another man red-handed in a coffee estate.

Satish said that he and his deceased wife Roopa fell in love and got married despite family opposition. As time passed by, the two fought frequently. They have a son and a daughter.

When Satish saw Roopa and her paramour together on Sunday, he got into a rage and attacked them with the machete. He took a swipe at Roopa’s paramour, but he managed to escape. But Satish hacked at Roopa and then beheaded her.

Satish, who ran a poultry shop at Sivani, reportedly told the police that he will not spare the paramour after his release from prison.
