Kavoor police seize 42 kg ganja, arrests two peddlers

Mangaluru: Kavoor police, on Saturday arrested two ganja peddlers and confiscated 42 kg ganja, valuing Rs 7.56 lakh from their possession.

Rajeev A P (48), a Kerala native and Abdul Rahim (26), a Bantwal resident are the arrested. Another accused Shafi alias Kalandhar Shafi managed to flee the scene.

Acting on credible information of ganja peddling within its police limits, a team of police led by Kavoor station police inspector, K R Naik, raided the spot and arrested Rajeev and Rahim.

An autorickshaw and a motorcycle valued at Rs 80,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively, two mobile phones and four luggage bags in which ganja was stored, valuing worth Rs 8,78,500 were confiscated by the police.
