1 killed, 7 injured in lightning strike in Punjab

Fatehgarh Sahib: A 64-year-old man died while seven people, including a minor, were injured in a lightning strike Wednesday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at around 9.30 am in Khanpur village near Sirhind town when Harvesh Singh and others had taken shelter under a tree because of rains, they said.
Harvesh Singh died after a lightning strike while seven others, including a six-year-old boy, sustained injuries, the police said.
The injured persons were admitted to the civil hospital, where local MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra and officials from the district administration inquired about them, the police added.
