Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Mayor R Sampath Raj inspected the Halasuru lake where immersion will be held after the Ganesha festival on Wednesday.

Halasuru lake, Sankey tank and Yediyur lake at Jayanagar are among the top three immersion centers in the city. The BBMP has made elaborate arrangements as more people are expected here for Ganesha idol immersion.

After Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara inspected the place during his constituency visit last week, Sampath Raj is ensuring that all the arrangements are in place. Corporator S Mamatha said the immersion process will be allowed for the next 15 days. People can immerse idols at the small kalyani created in the lake.
