Sri Durgamba Transit owner dies in a road mishap

Kundapur/Tamil Nadu: Sunil Chatra (42), owner of the well-known transport company, Sri Durgamba Transit Private Limited, died on the spot in a road accident in Tamil Nadu on Friday, September 14th. Mr Sunil was one of the partners of Durgamba Motors.

The road mishap occurred in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu at 3 pm. The deceased leaves behind his father, mother, brothers, sister, wife and his three-year-old child.

As per sources, the deceased had celebrated Ganesh Chathurti with family members in Kundapur on Thursday and was on his way to Karur when the incident occurred. It is said that the tragedy occurred after the driver of his car lost control of the vehicle on the suburb highway at Karur. Consequently, Sunil sustained grievous head injuries and died on the spot due to exsanguination. The driver also suffered serious injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital. His condition is said to be critical.

According to witness, the vehicle was speeding and in a bid to save a bicycle rider, the driver applied sudden brakes which caused the car to topple. However, the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.

Sunil Chatra is second among three sons of the founder of Durgamba Motors organization. After finishing his college education, the deceased had indulged in transport business with his father.

“The final rites will be held at the old family house at Hallihole on Sunday,” informed brother of the deceased, Anil Chatra.
