Jarkiholi row: Cong leaders meet Siddaramaiah on return from Europe trip

Bengaluru: The Congress party leadership, on Sunday, met former state chief minister Siddaramaiah seeking his help to tide over the Jarkiholi crisis.
The Jarkiholi brothers, despite their assurances of not quitting the Congress party, have continued to keep the party leadership on tenterhooks. Moreover, rumours are afloat that they are in touch with the BJP. As the brothers are close aides of Siddaramaiah the Congress has pinned hopes on him to resolve the crisis.
Hours after Siddaramaiah returned from his 12-day Europe trip, on Sunday, he was met by AICC General Secretary and Karnataka in charge, K C Venugopal, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, party’s working president Eshwar Khandre and Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara visited at his official residence ‘Cauvery’to discuss the latest political developments in the state.
