Mangaluru: Following the previous year’s tradition, Catholic nuns visited Sanghaniketan and exchanged pleasantries with temple priests as a goodwill gesture on the occasion of Ganeshotsav, on Sunday.
The nuns of St Joseph of Tarbes, Ashoknagar Convent along with the leaders of Catholic delegation were welcomed by Sanghaniketan Ganeshotsava committee.
The sisters habded over a a silver ‘harivana’ filled with fruits to the pontiffs and spent some time before the idol of Lord Ganesha. They also took part in the breakfast and accepted the prasadam.
“Every year, we visit Sanghaniketan and exchange greetings. It feels good to be part of this celebration which leads to peace and harmony among various communities. We will continue this even next year. I wish everyone a happy Ganesh Chathurti,” said Celestine D’Souza, Secretary of Catholic Sabha.
