ATM robbery accused in police net

Mangaluru: A team of Mangaluru city police personnel, under the guidance of city police commissioner T R Suresh arrested history-sheeter Arif (24) from near Kannur junction, Padil on Monday, September 17.

A Vamanjoor resident, Arif is an accused in ATM robbery and has several cases registered against him at various police stations. Around six cases of robbery are registered against him in Mangaluru city police and Dakshina Kannada district police station limits and three cases of robbery and attempt to murder at Mangaluru rural police station.

He was involved in a theft case at Kulshekar and an ATM robbery case at Panemangaluru in August and June of this year respectively.

The police seized Honda Activa scooter, mobile phones and other items valuing worth Rs 87,750 from his possession.
