Mangaluru: Congress leader U K Monu has alleged threat to his life from an unknown caller who he believes is none other than mafia don Ravi Poojary.

Monu, a Wakf board member and a close aide of minister UT Khader filed a complaint at Konaje police station in this regards.

In his complaint, Monu alleged that he had received a call from an international number, reportedly from Thailand and the caller threatened to eliminate him if he did not follow given orders. A petrified Monu is said to have disconnected the call at that time. However, the caller called Monu repeatedly thereafter, but Monu let the calls go unanswered.
