Gauri Lankesh murder: SIT trace down 16th accused

Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) who is currently probing into the murder case of slain journalist, activist Gauri Lankesh murder case nabbed another accused from Maharashtra.

Police arrested the 16th accused in the case, Sharad Kalaskar. 

Police revealed, “Kalaskar was arrested by Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) a few days ago. He is said to be the person who is behind the supply of the revolver which was used to shoot Gauri. “To trace the revolver used to kill Gauri, we have taken him from the ATS custody,” said SIT police adding that he was brought to the city through a body warrant and a local court has remanded him to SIT’s custody for 20 days.

“Once we recover the revolver used for the act, the investigation will be complete,” the SIT authorities added.
