A mid-aged man commits suicide jumping into Netravati river at Brahmarakutlu

Bantwal: A middle aged man committed suicide by jumping into Netravati River from Brahmarakootlu-Talapady over-bridge on Saturday, September 22nd. The deceased has been identified as Harish (35). He was a resident of Brahmarakuutlu and was a mason by profession.
As the news of death spread, it attracted scores of people to the location thereby affecting vehicular movement along the road here. Bantwal police arrived at the spot and took up investigations.
The mortal remains of the deceased was retrieved from the river with assistance from swimmers from talapady including Mustafa, Saleem, Shahul Hamid, Basheer, M K Haris, Areef, Tajuddin and Anwar K H.
The reason for the victim to take this extreme step is yet to ascertained.
