Free WiFi at bus stops soon

Bajpe: Soon free WiFi service will be available at bus stops with the aim to help the people living in the rural areas on Mulki-Moodbidri limits. MLA Umanath Kotiyan has come forward to give this gift from his grant. A request in this regard has already been sent to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and in this way, the MLA has come forward to realize the dream of a digital India.

Helping the masses

This service will be very beneficial for all the officials and workers from the special economic zone and Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), living in their own rooms or rented ones. Besides it will also be helpful for nationalized banks and money lending institutions, monetary transactions for traders and for students.

Necessary for money transaction

This facility is already available at the airport and train station. Now, with the installation of this facility at the new bus stop, it will be helpful in doing online monetary transactions, feel the localities.

Request to release the grant

“This facility will be made available at the cost of Rs 10 lakh from the MLA’s grant. A request has been sent to the DC to release the grant. This scheme will be beneficial for the masses and the students and will improve life in the rural areas,” said MLA Umanath Kotiyan.

Locations the service will be available at

  • Bajpe central bus stop
  • Mulki bus stop
  • Moodbidri bus stop

The free WiFi facility will be available at these three bus stops and can be accessed within 500 meters of the installed unit in these locations.
