Another ‘Mega fight’ in Coastalwood?

Team Udayavani, Sep 27, 2018, 11:46 AM IST

A few weeks back two movies had been released on the same day. It would not have become a big issue if both the parties had decided to cooperate with their release. But instead, both of them fought publicly. This showed that there is a rift in Coastalwood.

Even though many negotiations were attempted through producers association, screening committee and other division, both the movies ‘Era Ullerge’ and ‘My name is Annappa’ nonetheless released on the same day. Both the teams submitted their documents claiming they had received the censor certificate first and hence were more eligible to release their movie first. Both the movies are still running in the talkies. It is unsure of the two, which movie was a hit? It’s left for the fans to decide.

But the current story is not about this. Coastalwood which is trying to make sure to prevent the repetition of another similar situation is yet again faced by the same problem with two super movies in Coastalwood initiating their fight for release on the same date.

‘Umil’ movie which is also the first Coastalwood graphics incorporated movie is seeking its release on the 25th of the coming month. At the same time, there is a rumor in Coastalwood that the team of comedy movie ‘Kori Rotti’ is also planning to release their movie on the same date.

If it is true, then both the movie may get released on the same day. There are a few in Coastalwood with opinion that such a situation of two movie releasing on the same date should not happen to Coastalwood.  But the present situation is such that, there is nobody here who will give ear to anybody’s voice. Each man here is truly to himself.

The opinion of the seniors in Coastalwood is that even when the bitterness of two bad experiences remains fresh in the mind, another fight must be avoided. For now, no one has fixed their date. But, the latest information is that both are aiming for the same day. It only remains to be seen, what happens next?
