Teenager drowns at Kodi beach

Kundapur: A teenage hailing from Koteshwara has drowned in the Arabian Sea at Kodi beach on Sunday afternoon, September 30th. His mortal remains is yet to be retrieved.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Poojary (18), son of Manjunath Poojary of Kodi. He was a second PUC student of a private college at Koteshwar.  

According to sources, after playing volleyball, Manoj had visited the Kodi beach along with his friends.  It is said that 4 people along with Manoj had ventured into the waters when Manoj was washed away by a giant wave. Kundapur police have registered a case.
