Nitte donates Rs.80 lakh towards Flood Relief

Mangaluru: Nitte Education Trust and the Nitte (Deemed to be University) have jointly donated a sum of Rs. 80 lakh towards flood relief that devastated Kodagu district of Karnataka and some districts of Kerala.
Mr. Vishal Hegde, The Pro Chancellor of the University Mr. Vishal Hegde handed over a cheque of Rs. 40 lakh to the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. H D Kumaraswamy towards Kodagu Flood Relief Fund, on 12th September 2018.
Additionally, another cheque of Rs. 40 lakhs was given to the Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Pinarai Vijayan on 29th September 2018.
Nitte University also showed their solidarity by sending medical teams equipped with first aid and emergency medicine kits, to the affected districts in Karnataka and Kerala to treat the patients there. The medical teams included Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Dermatology Dentistry and others and provided advanced treatment to those affected in the aftermath of the devastating floods.
