The Town Hall was renovated just a few months back. During that time too, metal, garbage and the materials remaining after the use for the work were heaped on one side of the Town Hall, due to which the beauty of the Town Hall was spoilt.

Lack of space?
In the backdrop of lack of a convenient place to keep the junk, the things seized during the eviction of business encroaching footpaths and the garbage generated during other occasions is dumped at the Town Hall premises and also on the backside of MCC building. There is an accusation that many places belonging to MCC, located at various locations in the city have been illegally encroached and the corporation is hesitating to initiate any action against them, thereby failing to save the necessary sites.
