Bengaluru: A seven year old girl was tortured by her aunt and uncle for not studying well in her academics.

The victim’s aunt clipped her finger using a cutting plier.

Seeing the condition, the grandmother rushed the girl to a nearby hospital. The hospital, noticing that this was no ordinary injury, and taking into account the intense pain the child was in, registered a medico legal case and referred the matter to the jurisdictional police.

The couple involved in the act were arrested by the police and booked them under the Juvenile Justice Act of 2015 and Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Code.

At the station they said, that they did not have any ill feelings towards the victim and all they were only trying to scare the girl to study better.
