Bank cashier shot dead, Rs 2 lakh looted in Delhi

New Delhi: A cashier was shot dead and three persons were injured after some unidentified people entered a bank in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka on Friday and fled with over Rs 2 lakh, police said.
The shocking incident that took place at Corporation Bank branch in Khaira village on Friday afternoon has been captured on a CCTV camera.
The recorded 90-second footage shows six masked people enter the bank the robbers snatching the rifle from the security guard and beating him up. They then shot at the bank cashier and escaped with the looted money.
According to the police, the robbers entered the bank for committing loot and held 16 people hostage at gunpoint. They shot bullets at the cashier Santosh Kumar (25) as he resisted in handing them the money. He and the other injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where Kumar was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, it is gathered that the police have successfully identified the accused with help of the CCTV footage and teams have been formed to trace them.
